They discussed the creation of a unified vision of strategy of cooperation between Ukraine and the democratic forces of Belarus. "Nothing will come out without conceptual questions. I consider you heroes, and I stand before the Belarusian volunteers with great respect," - said Kizim at a meeting with representatives of the regiment.
Kizim noted that today Belarusian independent organisations are united around several centres - Vilnius, Warsaw and Kiev. In this sense, the Kalinouski Regiment is a third centre of power, along with democratic associations. The participants agreed that the Regiment can and should play an important role in the democratisation process in Belarus. "It is easier to solve political tasks when you have militarised support behind you," the participants at the meeting noted.
The issue of close integration between Belarus and Russia was also raised. The current unification of the two countries was the subject of a special discussion: "Where is the line where integration ends and the loss of independence and the complete annexation of the country begins?
Kalinouski Regiment welcomes appointment of Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has appointed Igor Kizim as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus. Regiment command has a high regard for Igor Kizim as a professional and diplomat and welcomes this decision by the Ukrainian leadership.
